The wind is howling so strong that I just can’t sit and do nothing. As much as I didn’t enjoy a loud room heater, I went and turned off the heat in the house and put on the noisy little one. The building gets a jolt from time to time. The gusts of wind make their way in the basement and come out on the other side. I peek outside behind the curtains in the kitchen, where the trees are ready to jump off of the roots.
Somebody is at the door.
